At the very least, not a bad person. He was evil, and I wouldn't tolerate anyone trying to do the 'there's good in everyone' spin as a reason to mourn. The world will be an ever-so-slightly better place without him. Or at least until his replacement shows up.
However, thinking about it, there could be a fair amount of good in people close to him who would be deeply depressed. Their depression wouldn't be so good.
But then again, given all the harm he's caused (I know he's been directly responsible for tearing up some families, such as those with homosexual children), we're much better off without him overall. So, I still think it's alright to be happy that he's gone, given that. I just wish his death could have been a bit more painful.
I wish fire and bleach would've been involved. The man was an evil piece of garbage, one that future generations will look back on the same way we look back on Fascists of the 1940's.
I can't bring myself to feel anything. No sorrow, no happiness, or even relief.
I can't feel sorrow, because he did nothing to make the world a better place. All he did was spew spite and venom.
I can't feel happiness or relief because of the knowledge that someone will take his place. I fear that his replacement will be worse that him. It's sad to think that there were some that thought he wasn't tough enough or xian enough.

ReplyDeleteI'm a bit longwinded today for the first time in a while, and Rockstar's comment brought this diatribe out.
ReplyDeleteI didn't want to derail the conversation here about the Dead Bastard.
He hath been justly smotificated, and I did rejoice with nakedness and drunkeness.
